Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Ipswich 17 May

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal two-car traffic crash that occurred in Purga on Thursday, May 16.

Initial investigations indicate a Toyota Rav4 and Toyota Hilux were travelling in opposite directions when they crashed on Ipswich Boonah Road around 5.45pm.

A total of six people, three in one car, and three in the other, were taken to hospital.

One of the passengers of the Toyota Hilux, a 25-year-old woman, was transported to Ipswich Hospital suffering serious injuries.

Her unborn baby died as a result of the crash.

Anyone with information that could assist investigations, including any dashcam vision, is urged to contact police.
