Celebrate 10 years of the Queanbeyan-Palerang Local Heritage Awards by nominating a heritage property or historical research!
'The Local Heritage Awards are a great way for the community to celebrate the amazing heritage buildings, gardens, spaces, and written history that make our area unique,' said Mayor Kenrick Winchester.
'We're lucky to have so many people who care about keeping our local history alive and it's important to acknowledge the effort they put in.
'This is your chance to shine a light on someone in the community — whether it's yourself, or a neighbour, a coworker, or even someone you've never met — who has gone the extra mile to preserve and promote our unique local heritage.'
This year we have three award categories:
- Best maintained heritage property
- Best restoration/development or reuse of a heritage property
- Historical research, publication or promotion of Local Heritage
You can nominate a heritage property or publication for an award until 12 April 2026.
