13-year-old charged after girl assaulted in Bega

A teenage girl will face court after allegedly assaulting another girl on the state’s south coast earlier this week, NSW Police say.

About 1.40pm on Tuesday (19 June 2018), a 13-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by another teenage girl at a school in Bega.

The injured girl was taken to South East Regional Hospital Bega with injuries to her face.

About 4.50pm, the injured girl and her mother reported the incident to officers from South Coast Police District.

Following inquiries, about 7.30pm, a 13-year-old girl was arrested at Bega Police Station.

She was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

The girl was granted conditional bail and will appear at a children’s court on Wednesday 18 July 2018.
