13-year-old girl dies in hospital after single-vehicle crash, NSW

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following the death of a teenage girl after a single-vehicle crash in the state’s Central West earlier this month, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Limekilns Road, Wattle Flat, just after 10.55am on Friday 12 October 2018, after a Holden Commodore left the roadway and hit a tree.

The driver, an 18-year-old woman, and her two female passengers, aged 15 and 16, were taken to Bathurst Hospital with minor injuries.

A rear passenger, a 13-year-old girl, was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead suffering critical injuries.

On Wednesday 24 October 2018, the teenager died in hospital.

Crash Investigation Unit officers attended and established a crime scene, that was examined by specialist police.

Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
