$2 million worth of jewellery stolen in Brighton

Glen Eira Bayside Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary in Brighton last month where over $2 million worth of jewellery was stolen, Victoria Police say.

Investigators believe unknown offenders have broken into the Bent Street home sometime between 3.30pm and 7.30pm on 26 April.

The sole item stolen was a safe containing more than 50 pieces of jewellery.

It is understood the security system in place was disabled.

Detectives have released images of the stolen jewellery in the hope someone may have information regarding their whereabouts.

Police are urging anyone who has sighted these items, or may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident, to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
