"Oh goodness, okay!" the Queensland man exclaimed when we called to confirm their winning news.
"I checked the ticket on Saturday night after the draw had taken place, and when I looked at the prize, I thought, 'Oh, that looks a bit strange!'. I couldn't believe my eyes.
"My friend and I share this ticket and I'm seeing him while on holidays.
"He always buys the tickets, and I send him half the cost. We've used these numbers for 20 years!
"It's very exciting. I'm keen to buy a new car.
"Thank you!"
Their winning System 8 entry was purchased at Croydon Lotto, 118 Main Street, Croydon.
