Gold Coast Police would like to remind motorists of upcoming road closures due to the Ch 7 News Gold Coast Running Festival.
The run will be conducted from 4:30am to 11:00am on Sunday April 28, 2019 and commences in Stadium Drive, Robina and concludes inside Cbus Super Stadium, Robina.
Police have been working with the various event stakeholders to ensure the fun run is conducted safely and with minimum disruption to traffic.
Motorists are urged to avoid travelling along the route during the event due to diversions that will be in place.
"Queensland Police officers will be in place at the event to ensure public safety and to minimise disruption to local residents and businesses as much as possible during the event," Inspector Mat Rosevear said.
Motorists can expect delays and traffic congestion at the following road closures on:
Sunday 28 April 2019 from 4:30am to 11:00am:
Road closures will occur on the following roads:
• Stadium Drive, Robina
• Cheltenham Drive between Laver Drive and Robina Parkway (Eastbound lanes only)
• Robina Parkway from Gooding Drive to Cheltenham Drive (Northbound lanes only)
