2023 Mayoral Prayer Breakfast Funds Support Civic Assist, Adapt Mentorship

Toowoomba charities Civic Assist and Adapt Mentorship and Consultancy have received a welcome funding boost from the proceeds of this year's Mayoral Prayer Breakfast that was held at Rumours in May.

Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio recently presented cheques for $4,174.52 each to Civic Assist Operations Manager Helen Muller and assistant Operations Manager Jenny Alchin along with Suzie and Adam Wenitong of Adapt Mentorship and Consultancy.

Mayor Antonio praised the work of both organisations, describing the groups' efforts as an example of Toowoomba's generous spirit.

"I thank everyone who attended the Mayoral Prayer Breakfast for contributing to the fundraising effort that will make a great difference to the charities," Mayor Antonio said.

"I'm grateful for the contribution of all suppliers, many of whom have backed the breakfast since its inception. Their support in trying business conditions underlines their commitment and unwavering generosity.

"Since its inception, the function has raised $318,025.22 for regional charities.
