The awards celebrate the excellence, innovation and collaboration taking place in regional communities nationwide.
The awards were announced as part of the RDA Forum held in Canberra last week which brought together RDA committee representatives from across Australia.
The forum included panel sessions at the National Convention Centre as well as a dinner at the National Museum of Australia where the winners were presented with their awards.
The Hon Kristy McBain MP, Australian Government Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories, attended the dinner and congratulated the winners.
The winners reflect a range of programs, projects and initiatives that demonstrate clear community benefits, creativity, leadership, and a commitment to investing in their regions.
The forum also saw the launch of the Regional Renewables: Community Showcase webpage. The Showcase features case studies from across regional Australia that highlight how communities are embracing the transition to renewable energy and supporting positive local outcomes.
