$20k Worth Of Jewellery Stolen In Southbank Burglary

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Southbank earlier this year.

Investigators have been told an unknown man gained access to a residential complex on Sturt Street about 11.30pm on 21 August.

Officers believe the man accessed a storage cage within the complex, stealing over $20,000 worth of jewellery, including several rings and necklaces.

Investigators have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance and is between 40-45 years old.

The man was seen wearing a black jacket, a maroon shirt, beige pants, white and red sneakers and a navy blue cap.

He was also carrying a green backpack.
