2140 Yemen Sanctions Chair Briefs UNSC

The Security Council meets today at 10 a.m. to hear a briefing by the chair of the 2140 Yemen Sanctions Committee, Ambassador Sangjin Kim (Republic of Korea), on the Committee's work. The representative of Yemen is expected to deliver remarks.

The Council will hold a subsequent meeting on the reports of the Secretary-General on the Sudan and South Sudan, with briefings expected by Ms. Martha Ama Akyaa Pobee, Assistant Secretary-General for Africa, Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations; and Mr. Guang Cong, Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for the Horn of Africa. The representatives of Sudan and South Sudan are expected to participate.
