$365,000 fraud in North Rocks

A woman has been charged after allegedly defrauding her employer of almost $400,000, NSW Police say.

Police from The Hills Local Area Command initiated an investigation after a business from North Rocks discovered a discrepancy in accounting last year.

Following investigations, police will allege the 47-year-old woman transferred $365,000 from the business account to her personal account between July 2010 and September 2015.

About 9.45am today, the woman attended Castle Hill Police Station and was arrested.

She has been charged with dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.

She was granted conditional bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 16 November 2016.
