Detectives from the State Drug Squad executed a search warrant yesterday at Albion, locating and seizing a significant quantity of dangerous drugs, including 4000 MDMA ecstasy tablets.
Police arrested and charged a 28-year-old man with one count each on trafficking dangerous drugs (MDMA) , trafficking dangerous drugs (Cocaine), possessing dangerous drugs schedule 1 drug quantity of or exceeding schedule 4 (Cocaine), possessing dangerous drugs Schedule 1 drug quantity exceeding Schedule 4,possess things used and possess proceeds.
He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 10th March 2026.
Detective Inspector Brad Phelps of the Drug and Serious Crime Group's State Drug Squad said the drugs seized were destined for streets with no regard for the impact they could have.
"This quantity of MDMA tablets has the potential to cause a high degree of community harm. Dangerous drugs destroy lives and fund further criminal activity, which is why we will continue to pursue those involved in the trafficking of dangerous drugs," Detective Inspector Phelps said.
