The Burnside Library has been a highly valued asset both within the Burnside community and beyond since its official opening on Saturday 8 April 1961.
Be a part of our 60th birthday celebrations by attending a free event on Thursday 8 April (please note that bookings are required for all of these events).
- 10.30 am: Treasured Stories - a history of the Burnside Library and Devonshire morning tea.
- 3.30 pm: 60 Years of Burnside Library - official marking of our 60th year with Lauren and Hayley from Adelady, Mem Fox and special guests, entertainment by The Amazing Drumming Monkeys and birthday treats!
- 6.30 pm: Bedtime Storytime - stories and songs with a birthday theme for the under 5s.
