$700k Equipment Theft: Cherry Pickers, Lifts Taken

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after approximately $700,000 worth of machinery was stolen from a commercial hire business in Sunshine West earlier this month.

Investigators have been told offenders moved the machinery from the Vella Drive premises between 1am and 5am on Friday 12 September.

An employee arrived at the business to find two large flat-bed trucks, with machinery onboard, fleeing the scene about 5.15am.

The machinery stolen includes a LGMG H625 diesel telehandler, Haulotte electric scissor lift, Hangcha gas forklift, Haulotte telescopic boom, and Sinoboom electric scissor lift.

Investigators have released images and CCTV of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries, vision of the trucks involved in the incident and images of the equipment stolen in the hope someone can forward with information that will assist in the investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit an online confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
