Conservative Party leader Cory Bernardi has congratulated Labor Senator Don Farrell for showing chivalry in the face of sheer stupidity.
The South Australian Labor powerbroker has deferred to the whims of his party on several occasions, facilitating the promotion of now Senate leader Penny Wong and her new deputy Kristina Keneally.
Senator Bernardi has told Paul Murray Live on Sky News, in doing so, he thinks Senator Farrell has done a great service to the Liberal side of Australian politics.
