Three local artists will come together at Griffith Regional Art Gallery for Continuum, a new exhibition opening on Saturday 3 October 2026 at 4pm.
The talented trio, Rhonda Miranda, Noel Hicks and Kerri Weymouth, showcase their individual creative practices and the connection between different generations of artists and their artistic journeys.
Continuum features oil painting, textiles, sculpture and mixed media, reflecting the artists' personal experiences and their connection to the region they call home.
Grounded in the landscape of the plains where the artists have lived and worked, the exhibition explores how place can shape identity and artistic practice. Vast horizons, changing seasons and shared experiences of the regional landscape feature throughout the works, creating a connection between the artists, their community and the environment around them.
Griffith Regional Art Gallery Coordinator Melanie Toscan said bringing three long-standing community artists together is a monumental moment for art locally and beyond.
"Continuum brings together three artists with individual practices that are deeply personal, while sharing strong connections to landscape, memory and place," she said.
"The exhibition invites audiences to experience their different approaches to art and reflect on the creative threads that connect generations".
The community can also hear directly from the artists during a free Artists Talk on Saturday 17 October at 10am. Rhonda, Noel and Kerri will discuss the inspiration, experiences and creative journeys behind their work.
Continuum will be on display at Griffith Regional Art Gallery from 11am on Saturday 3 October until 2pm on Sunday 8 November 2026. The exhibition opening is free to attend and all members of the community are welcome.
