ACEM statement on Dr Christopher Kwan Chen Lee

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) has released the following statement:

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine is aware of a matter regarding the medical registration of Dr Christopher Kwan Chen Lee as considered by the Health Practitioners Tribunal (Tasmania) and outlined in a determination dated 16 April 2019. The College views discrimination and other unacceptable behaviour and conduct as having no place in the practice of emergency medicine or medicine more broadly, and notes all aspects of the reasons outlined in relation to the determination.

The College will consider the matter under its relevant policies and procedures. As such, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.
