Additional drug supply charges laid as part of Strike Force Tippet investigation

A man will reappear in court today charged with additional drug supply offences following an investigation into the alleged criminal activity of a group operating in Sydney's south west.

In February 2018, detectives from the Criminal Groups Squad established Strike Force Tippet to investigate the large-scale supply of prohibited drugs and related organised crime offences in the south western Sydney area.

As a result of their inquiries, four search warrants were executed at units in Peakhurst and Belmore on Friday 22 March 2019.

During the searches, 1kg of methylamphetamine, 600g of cocaine, 1L of GBL, three vehicles, designer clothing, and $360,000 cash was seized.

Three men – all aged 22 – were arrested and charged at that time. They all remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, strike force detectives laid two additional charges – including supply prohibited drugs (large commercial quantity) and supply prohibited drugs (commercial quantity) – against one of the men, on Wednesday 12 June 2019.

The Riverwood man remains in custody and is due to reappear at Burwood Local Court today (Wednesday 26 June 2018).

Inquiries are continuing.

Anyone with information in relation to prohibited drug supply is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
