Adelaide man charged with child sex offence

A 55-year-old West Croydon man has been charged today over the possession of child exploitation material.

Detectives from the South Australia Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (SA JACET), which is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police and SA Police's Public Protection Branch, arrested the man early this morning.

He is expected to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on 18 December 2019 to face the following charge:

• one count of possession of child exploitation material, contrary to section 63A of the Criminal Law Consolidation Act 1935 (SA).

The maximum penalty for this offence is five years imprisonment.
