Adelaide River Vehicle Theft: Police Arrest Suspects

Northern Territory Police have arrested 8 offenders after an aggravated robbery in Adelaide River on the weekend.

Around 1pm on Saturday, police received reports that a 73-year-old man was allegedly threatened by a group of offenders with blunt weapons while reversing his Toyota Hilux on a property in Adelaide River.

The offenders have stolen the vehicle and begun driving dangerously on Dorat Road.

General duties, Strike Force Trident and the Dog Operations Unit all deployed to track the vehicle.

The vehicle was apprehended in Moulden a short time later, with multiple offenders fleeing the vehicle.

Police arrested 5 youths and 3 adults at the scene.

All have since been charged with property offences. One adult was remanded to appear in court today while the remaining 7 were bailed to appear at later dates.
