The city of Stonnington has partnered with the Victorian Small Business Commission (VSBC) to host a free webinar for small businesses, outlining support available to commercial tenants who are having trouble paying rent.
Attend the webinar from 5pm to 5.45pm on Thursday 8 April to hear Victorian Small Business Commissioner, Judy O'Connell, discuss:
- the steps the VSBC recommends tenants take for businesses having trouble paying monthly and/or deferred rent
- what fair rent relief negotiations can look like and the process the VSBC recommends following to reach a fair agreement
- how the VSBC resolves rent relief disputes impartially, for free – including disputes going forward and disputes relating to rent relief requests made before 28 March 2021
- how to access free mental health support and financial counselling.
