Kicking for Cancer

Most people in their lives have been effected by Cancer be it a relative, friend or personally.

Kicking for Cancer is the first ever Football Day created for families to come along and commemorate those lost to Cancer whilst enjoying a game of Football that features victims of cancer (that have recovered) and 25 Ex AFL Superstars such as Brendan Fevola, Greg Williams, Jake King, Dustin Fletcher, Andrew Krakouer, Stephen Milne and Spida Everitt. The big day is Sunday July 7that Trevor Barker Oval Sandringham Game starts at 2.30pm. Trevor was a former St.Kilda Superstar and Captain who was lost to us at 39 due to this shocking disease.

The game is City V Country will be played for the Trevor Barker Cup and will be preceded by an AFL Legends Lunch featuring icons of the game such as Sam Newman, Des Tuddenham, Peter Bedford and Warwick Capper David Cloke and Cancer Victim Professional Golfer and Radio Personality Mark Allen

One of the big moments of the day will be when not only at the ground but around Australia we release a family memo to the sky to commemorate those lost.

Other highlights will include our VIP Grandstand set aside for families effected by Cancer who can sit with their children in comfort to watch the game

Kicking for Cancer is a not for profit charity. All profit is donated to the MyRoom & The Trevor Barker Foundation

My Room is dedicated to raising funds to achieve a 100 per cent cure rate for childhood cancers. My Room has raised more than $17 million for childhood cancer research, clinical care, family support, and to improve the quality of life for children with cancer. Trevor Barker foundation provides accommodation for families to holiday away from the stress and trauma of Cancer.
