Airport Link Tunnel crash in Lutwyche, QLD

Police are appealing for any witnesses or people with dashcam vision of a crash or a man who was in the Airport Link Tunnel yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.

At 12.05pm a grey Ford Mondeo crashed into the concrete barrier of the northbound tunnel near the Stafford Road exit.

The male driver ran from the tunnel and is believed to have stolen a second vehicle nearby in Howie Street, Clayfield.

The man is described as about 30-years-old, 185cm tall, solid build, wearing black shorts, a white T-shirt and in possession of a hi vis vest.

The Ford Mondeo was stolen from a business premises on Ipswich Road at Annerley around 11.45am yesterday.

The second vehicle, a blue Toyota Hilux with Queensland registration 550MWT and business name ‘Easy Pools’ on the side, remains outstanding.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the man or has dashcam vision of the man to contact police.
