Aldinga Beach house fire, South Australia

Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Aldinga Beach this morning.

Just after 4.40am Tuesday 15 December emergency services were called to Follett Street after reports of a house fire. The four occupants had been asleep inside when they heard the sound of breaking glass before seeing flames and evacuating.

Fire crews extinguished were able to quickly bring the blaze under control, but it caused substantial damage to the inside of the premises. Thankfully there were no serious injuries.

Fire Cause Investigators will be attending this morning to examine the scene. Although the investigation is in its early stages police believe this was not a random attack.
