The only flash of orange anyone expects to see on Halloween is pumpkins, not Commodores travelling at 147km/h, Victoria Police say.
However for police from Casey Highway Patrol, seeing was believing in Hallam earlier tonight.
They pulled over an orange Holden Commodore on the Belgrave-Hallam Road just before 5.40pm after clocking it travelling more than 60km/h over the limit in the 80km/h zone.
The driver, a 23-year-old Narre Warren North man, was informed that the car would now be impounded for the next month.
He will also be charged on summons with traffic offences.
