Altona Boat Ramp Works

Altona Boat Ramp 2.jpg

Urgent maintenance works will be undertaken at Altona Boat Ramp from 26 October 2026. Works are expected to take up to one week, weather permitting.

The works will repair pontoons to remove trip hazards and ensure the continued safety of ramp users. Works will also include the replacement of damaged waler and fender timbers, installation of new clamping rods, and replacement of two pile clamps.

The boat ramp will remain operational throughout the works with some disruptions:

  • Only one pontoon will be closed at a time while repairs are underway.
  • The centre ramp will remain open for public use at all times.
  • Outer ramps may be temporarily closed when works are being carried out on the adjoining pontoon.
  • Any pontoon closed during the day will be reopened before the end of each day, with no overnight closures expected.
