Anzac Day Across Wide Bay

Ahead of ANZAC Day dawn services and main services across the Wide Bay District on April 25, police are reminding all road users of a number of upcoming road closures, and to plan their travel accordingly.

There are 18 events planned across the Fraser Coast, 14 in Bundaberg and three in Gympie, with small isolated road closures associated with those events.

With large crowds expected to attend services across the state, police will be present at the public events to maintain safety and traffic control.

Motorists can expect delays and traffic congestion around commemorative sites, but are reminded that times are only indicative and police will reopen roads once deemed safe.

Wide Bay Police would like to encourage the public to act responsibly when commemorating Anzac Day, respecting the nature of the occasion.
