Appeal after Covid testing clinic damaged - North St Marys

Police are appealing for information after a COVID-19 testing clinic was damaged in Sydney's west overnight.

About 10.50pm (Saturday 28 August 2021), emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the site on Forrester Road, North St Marys.

Upon arrival, officers from Nepean Police Area Command found a demountable building well alight. The fire was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW.

Following a search surrounding the area, graffiti was found on a separate building.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.

The cause of the fire is not yet determined; however, it is being treated as suspicious.
