Police are appealing for information following a fail to stop crash near Tuncurry last night.
Just after 10.00pm (Thursday 19 March 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian on the north bound lane of The Lakes Way, Darawank.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District attended and were told a 39-year-old woman was struck by an unknown vehicle and sustained serious injuries to her pelvis and lower leg.
The woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being conveyed to the Manning Base hospital in Taree.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
