Appeal after home invasion at Bathurst

Police are appealing to the public following an alleged home invasion in the state's Central Tablelands yesterday.

About 11.30pm (Monday 21 September 2020), three unknown men – armed with a knife and a pole – forced entry into a home on Parnham Street, West Bathurst.

Police have been told the men allegedly assaulted and threatened the occupants, a 39-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman, before ransacking the home and fleeing with tools, cash and jewellery.

Officers from Chifley Police District attended and established a crime scene, which was forensically examined.

The man was treated at Bathurst Hospital for minor injuries and was later released. The woman was uninjured.

Police are also appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward.
