Appeal after laser pointer incident, NSW

Police are calling for information after a laser pointer was allegedly directed at an aircraft yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 6.20pm yesterday, a flight from the Gold Coast was approaching Williamtown Airport, when they were hit with the beam of a laser pointer.

The flight was not affected during the incident.

Officers attached to Port Stephens Local Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries.

Anyone with information, or anyone that saw something suspicious relating to the incident, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
