Appeal after robbery in Fairfield

Police investigations are continuing following a robbery in Fairfield last month.

About 8pm on Thursday 23 March 2017, a 21-year-old woman was walking along Fairlight Avenue, Fairfield, when she was approached by two unknown men.

The men allegedly pushed her to the ground, before fleeing with her phone, handbag and contents.

A short time later, the woman attended Fairfield Police Station and reported the incident.

The woman was treated for minor grazing.

Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command commenced inquiries and are seeking assistance from the public to identify two males depicted in CCTV footage.

The first male shown is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, and of slim-medium build, approximately 175cm tall with a goatee beard. He was last seen wearing a light coloured top and long dark pants.

The second male shown is of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, and of slim-medium build, approximately 175cm tall. He was last seen wearing a dark coloured top and long dark pants.

Both men are believed to be aged in their 20’s.
