Appeal after service station armed robbery at Wagga Wagga

Police are investigating after an employee and a customer were threatened with knives during a robbery at a service station in Wagga Wagga this morning.

About 4am (Friday 3 July 2020), two males with their faces covered and armed with knives entered a service station on Fitzmaurice Street, Wagga Wagga.

They threatened a customer, a 37-year-old woman, and the employee, a 69-year-old man, before stealing cash and fleeing the scene in a vehicle, described only as a Holden sedan.

There were no reported injuries.

Officers from Riverina Police District attended and established a crime scene.

A short time later, a vehicle was found on fire in Webb Park, Ashmont, and detectives are investigating whether the incidents are linked.
