Appeal after sheep killed at Wagga Wagga

Police are appealing for information after 11 sheep were found killed near Wagga Wagga last week.

On Monday 20 January 2020, police attended two locations – Danswans Lane, Marinna and Pattersons Road, Harefield – after reports sheep had been found dead.

Officers from Riverina Police District found the carcasses of 11 sheep which appear to have been slaughtered for meat. The ear tags had also been removed.

Police have commenced an investigation and the Rural Crime Investigators have been notified.
