Police are appealing for public assistance as they investigate a serious crash in Sydney's south west earlier this week.
Shortly before 9am on Tuesday (21 October 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving a white Ford Ranger and a pedestrian at the intersection of Chapel Road and Chelmsford Avenue, Bankstown.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the pedestrian – a 20-year-old woman – at the scene before she was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
The 37-year-old male driver was uninjured and was taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established and officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command have commenced an investigation into the crash.
