Appeal for assistance, stolen trailer and shipping container – Stapylton

Detectives from Taskforce Latro West investigating the theft of a trailer and shipping container from a Staplyton business are appealing for public assistance to locate the stolen items, Queensland Police say.

Sometime between 1pm January 29 and 4.30am January 30 thieves broke into a Quinns Hill Road business where they stole a shipping container containing $20,000 worth of construction equipment and a trailer.

Investigations suggest the offenders cut through a fence to gain entry before using a white Toyota Hilux to tow the trailer from the premises and a truck to steal the shipping container.

The trailer is described as a galvanised Aspinall Pig trailer with Queensland registration 394UND while the shipping container is blue in colour.

Police are continuing investigations into these matters and are appealing to the public for information.

Anyone that may have observed any suspicious behaviour in the area or has any information about the stolen items is asked to contact police.

If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.

You can report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
