Appeal for info after fatal pedestrian crash in Campsie

Police are appealing for public assistance following a fatal pedestrian crash in Campsie last month.

About 4.30pm on Thursday 8 March 2018, a white Toyota Hiace was travelling north on Loch Street, striking a nine-year-old boy who ran onto the road.

The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick in a critical condition.

The driver, a 19-year-man was not injured and returned a negative result.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command attended and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

About 3.30am on Tuesday 20 March 2018, the nine-year-old boy died in Hospital.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
