Appeal for info after two people injured following assault in Woolooware

Police have released images as investigations continue into the assault of a man and woman at Woolooware Railway Station last month, NSW Police say.

Just after 10.30pm (Saturday 26 May 2018), a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old woman were walking along the Kingsway into Swan Street, when they were approached by two men.

Police have been told an altercation occurred, before one of the men allegedly punched the 17-year-old boy multiple times to the head.

The 18-year-old woman, intervened, before being pushed by both men, sustaining an injury to her shoulder.

An elderly bystander has also intervened to assist, before being assaulted by the men.

The teenage boy and the 18-year-old woman boarded a train to Gymea Railway Station where they alerted police.

The teenage boy was treated for facial injuries and taken to Sutherland Hospital for treatment.

Officers from South West Police Transport Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, police have released images of two men who they believe can assist them.

The first man depicted in the image, is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, approximately 160-170cm tall, of medium build, with dark brown or black curly hair. In the image he is seen wearing a dark blue coloured top and shorts.

The second man depicted in the image is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, approximately 170-180cm, of thin build, with short black hair. In the image he is seen wearing a blue wind breaker jacket and long dark coloured pants.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
