Appeal for info over shooting at Lithgow, NSW

Information is being sought from the public after a man arrived at Lithgow Hospital with a gunshot wound, NSW Police say.

A 20-year-old man was dropped off at the emergency department about 5.45pm today, suffering a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transferred to Nepean Hospital where he is reported to be in a stable condition.

Police from Chifley Local Area Command are now investigating the circumstances of how the man came to be injured.

Detectives have been unable to formally interview the man due to his injuries, and are appealing to the public for information about the incident.
