Appeal for public assistance at Southport, QLD

Gold Coast detectives are appealing to members of the public to help identify a man who they believe can assist with their inquiries into a disturbance at Southport on February 7, Queensland Police say.

At about 5.20pm, a man caused a disturbance at a public toilet facility situated in a restaurant precinct on Lawson Street.

The man later fled the scene on foot towards a shopping centre on Scarborough Street.

Police are appealing to members of the public to help identify a man (pictured) who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Investigations are continuing.
