Appeal for witnesses after man seriously injured, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was found seriously injured in Sydney’s south-west overnight, NSW Police say.

About 10.50pm (Tuesday 28 August 2018), emergency services were called to a unit complex in Railway Parade, near Pevensey Street, at Canley Vale, following reports a man had been seriously injured.

On arrival, officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command found a man, believed to be aged in his 30s, with injuries to his head, neck, and leg.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition and is expected to undergo surgery.

Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Investigators are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
