Appeal for witnesses at Ashgrove, QLD

Police are appealing for assistance from the public with their investigation into a traffic crash at Ashgrove this morning (September 10), Queensland Police say.

Initial investigations indicate a crash occurred between a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and bicycle on Waterworks Road, at the intersection of Baileys Road around 8.40am today.

The rider of the bicycle, a 56-year-old man from The Gap was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the SUV was not injured.

A 39-year-old Bardon woman is assisting police with their inquiries.

Investigators are asking for any witnesses to the crash and in particular for anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
