Appeal for witnesses – Wounding at Toombul, QLD

Detectives from the North Brisbane District Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for witnesses to a stabbing incident that occurred at Toombul yesterday, Queensland Police say.

At about 11.20am in a shopping centre car park near the intersection of Kreutzer and Grace streets, a 25-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by a man receiving a single stab wound to her back.

The woman was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment of her non-life-threatening injury.

Police have charged a 33-year-old Runcorn man with one count of grievous bodily harm and he is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Detectives are requesting any witnesses to this assault or anyone with relevant dash cam footage to contact police.
