Police are searching for a man that escaped from a minimum-security correctional centre in Unanderra, NSW Police say.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District have been told 23-year-old Shaun Primmer was last seen at the Unanderra Reintegration Centre about 11pm (Thursday 11 January 2018), but was noticed missing about 1.15am today (Friday 12 January 2018).
A search of the centre and surrounding grounds failed to locate the man.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of thin build, about 200cm tall with short blonde hair.
Shaun was last seen wearing standard correctional centre issued clothing.
Member of the public are urged not to approach Shaun but instead contact Triple Zero (000).
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
