Police are renewing an appeal for information from the public following an attempted armed robbery in Sydney's west last month.
About 2.50am on Monday 15 March 2021, a man entered a service station on Albert Road, Strathfield, and threatened a 26-year-old employee with a knife.
The man demanded money, before leaving the service station empty-handed. He was last seen running down Albert Road towards Elva Street.
The employee was not physically injured.
Detectives attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
As inquiries continue, detectives have released CCTV and a description of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, aged between 20 and 30, of slim build with a short beard.
He is depicted in the image as wearing a grey and white camouflage-print hooded jumper, light grey tracksuit pants and red high-top shoes. He was carrying a black bag.
At the time the man was reported to be carrying a knife so, police are urging anyone sees this man not to approach him but to call Triple Zero (000).
