Appeal to identify man after teen grabbed in Kingsgrove

Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was grabbed by a man in Kingsgrove last week, NSW Police say.

Police from Campsie Local Area Command have been told a 15-year-old girl was walking near the intersection of Rolestone Avenue and Mooresfield Road about 8:50am last Friday (5 August 2016), when a black Holden Commodore sedan stopped nearby.

The girl told police the man told her to get into the car; when she refused the man reportedly grabbed the girl. She managed to get away and ran home, reporting the incident to her father and police were alerted.

Patrols of the area were conducted and a description of the Holden Commodore and the man were broadcast; at this time neither has been identified.

Police have released a description of a man they believe can assist with this investigation.

He is described as being 170cm-190cm tall with a dark complexion and moustache; he has a RHS tattoo on his neck. The man was wearing a black leather jacket or coat, blue jeans, and black/blue Ray-Ban shoes.

The vehicle is described as having multiple dents and scratches on the boot, tinted windows, and silver rusty wheels.

Anyone who saw this incident is urged to contact Campsie police or Crime Stopers.
