Appeal for witnesses – Sexual assault in Clayfield, QLD

Police are appealing for witnesses who may assist with their investigations into a sexual assault which occurred on Friday night in Clayfield, Queensland Police say.

Initial information indicates at around 7:20pm, a woman in her twenties was walking along Eliza Street when a man approached her then sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

The woman managed to seek help from a person in a home nearby.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance with a tanned complexion, around 180cms tall with a skinny build, aged between 20-30 years.

He was believed to be wearing grey clothing and a baseball cap.

The woman attended the Royal Brisbane Woman’s hospital with no physical injures as a result of the incident.

Detectives are appealing for anyone that may have seen the man described or, if anyone was around Eliza Street, Franz Road, Wongara Street or Widdop Street on Friday evening to please contact the Hendra Criminal Investigation Branch on 3632 2329.
