The Transport Resilience and Capacity Kickstart (TRACK) pilot program will help transition more goods to rail.
The program is designed to shift more goods from road to rail with applications now open for the Transport Resilience and Capacity Kickstart (TRACK) pilot program.
Round 1 of the program will provide up to $26 million in incentive payments to move more freight from Australian roads onto rail, with subsequent rounds to consider maritime (shipping and ports) and rail freight.
The $52 million program will help reduce diesel fuel consumption - critical due to conflict in the Middle East - and boost local supply chain resilience.
Applications are open to eligible rail operators. Applications close 1 October 2026.
