The Albanese Labor Government has reappointed Mr Tom Mosby and appointed Mr Michael Lynch AO CBE as members to the National Portrait Gallery of Australia Board both for three-year terms.
The National Portrait Gallery holds Australia's largest collection of portraits of notable Australians exploring our identity, history, culture, creativity, and diversity.
Minister for the Arts, Tony Burke, said the two appointees would make a significant contribution to the board.

Mr Tom Mosby is an author, art conservator, and lawyer with over 20 years' experience providing leadership and knowledge in the arts and not-for-profit sectors. He was the Executive Manager of Indigenous Research and Projects at the State Library of Queensland before his current role as the CEO of the Koorie Heritage Trust. Mr Mosby has held several board positions across the arts sector including past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair and Board member of Bangarra Dance Theatre. Mr Mosby is also a current member of the Board of Directors of the French Australian Cultural Exchange Foundation, an initiative of the French Government dedicated to promoting cultural and intellectual exchanges between the peoples of Australia, France and French Overseas Territories. He has been recognised both nationally and internationally in arts journals and celebrated for his focus on the culture of Torres Strait Island communities, conservation and the moral and legal rights of First Nations peoples and stories.
Mr Michael Lynch AO CBE is an accomplished leader of the arts in Australia with over 50 years industry experience. Throughout his career Mr Lynch has led the Australia Council, the Sydney Opera House, the South Bank Centre in London, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in Hong Kong and was most recently the Executive Director of Culture Media and Entertainment at NEOM in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has occupied a variety of board positions since 2001, including on the boards of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Film Victoria, TEDx Sydney, and the Association of Asia Pacific Performing Arts Centre. Mr Lynch has also contributed to a variety of forums and steering groups including the London Cultural Consortium and Olympics 2012 Creativity Advisory Forum and National Indigenous Contemporary Gallery.
